Hope you all have a wonderful time, wherever you are.
We’ve spent a lazy day in the sunshine today, not doing very much. We did take a ride out along the Summit Road which takes you right round the top of the mountains surrounding Akaroa, offering some wonderful views back down the Bay, the peninusla we walked out to yesterday, and the hostel where we are staying.
This evening we had a shared meal at the hostel, with everyone bringing a dish each, so we had home made salmon pate to start, followed by cold ham with potato salad, pasta salad, meatballs and red cabbage salad. To finish there was a home made pavlova with fresh fruit salad, and ice cream. Delicous and we both ate way too much and felt rather stuffed!
We all sat around outside chatting until the sun went down - a very pleasant Christmas meal. :)
